Board of Technical and Scientific Research on Construction (ITBAK) who grants National and European Technical Approvals, provides conformity assessment for the approvals granted and provides Building Consultancy is established by Building Research Association, that intends to improve progress, competitiveness and efficiency in the construction sector by R&D studies.

It provides its services oriented to give importance to the represention and agreement of all parties constituting the construction sector.

ITBAK, responsible from the management of the activities of the legal body (the Economic Establishment), is constituted by the delegates of the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement, Middle East Technical University, The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Association of the Union of Building Control Bodies and Association of Turkish Building Material Producers.

ITBAK continues its activities as determined by the board.
